second quarter or something like that I read somewhere. It was like 58 yards in the second half approximately. OUr Defense shut them down. They kept us in the game until our offense got unhitched. I'm excited about our Defense and will be interesting to see how they do against Tulsa's offense Saturday.

I sure hope we don't hang a nickname on them, like the sharks (last year db's) or something..........

The play by the average secondary players surprised me with them being average and all.

The real test of OUs secondary will come later. OUs secondary looked pretty strong last season as well before getting into conference play and getting torched. I very much like the progress they have shown so far this year, but tap the brakes a bit and lets see how they do for the season overall. Tulsa's offense I think will be a good warmup and measuring stick to use for the secondary to learn from for future opponents.

It could also be a blueprint for other teams to look at on how to attack our D. If Tulsa can have mild success throwing the ball then it will give us a good indication of what Baylor and TCU could do to us.

On the other hand, maybe they are actually better with the new coaching and schemes!

I don't mind tapping the brakes and waiting, but I can say so far they look better this year than they did this time of the year last year. That's not a predictor of future success, just an acknowledgement that they do appear better.

Still worried about Ahmad Thomas. Seems to be the weaker link in our chain. Could be just my lack of knowledge into the bigger picture, but he's been targeted and burned the most so far.

Yep, hopefully Thomas will up his game. I watched the Tenn. game again and focused on the defense. He hockeyed it up a little more than the others.

He'll get better...or else.
