Penn State defender becomes first Lion to enter transfer portal following spring practice
Penn State is expecting to lose players to the transfer portal following spring practice. One lineman already in with drills completed.
Not surprised, looked like he wasn't going to make the 3 deep this fall (PJ - Beamon, Ellies - Izzard, Durant - VDB, Mulbah all ahead of him it looked like). Disappointing with his HS rating compared to whatever the reason (or reasons) was that he could never crack the depth chart.
Wish him the best, there's a lot of teams in FBS that need a DT that don't have the depth that we have at the position, he will find a home somewhere, perhaps in a P5 roster despite the lack of PT.

Would think its possible we'll have a WR enter, and maybe an outside chance a RB goes in as well. With PSU being pretty open they're looking in the portal for at least an OT along with other positions the roster will have to be trimmed somewhere if that does happen.
I believe that is correct, and he also has had virtually no playing time to date. it was kind of interesting as outside of PJ, Brevard was the only true 1T DT body type. logic puts him back at Indiana. he will get picked up.
Reading the recent roster analysis article, I see that Cole's departure brings us back down to 85. Maybe we don't bring anyone in until someone else leaves.
