...you'll hit the milestone 20,000 posts. But unlike me, I know you are an honorable and distinguished gentleman and the time will come when you are good and ready. Let me be the first to congratulate you.

Go read his criticism of Patty Gasso for not recruiting top softball pitching in the last five years. Who knew, that despite great high school numbers, Leslie Miller Taylor Hodges, and Maggie Ham would not pan out. Also read his criticism of OU's hitters using a low wide stance and that prevented them from hitting effectively against Alabama. If you are looking for nonsense go back and read these.

22, I am well aware of the post count. I've been tempted to reply to about eight threads this weekend, but have been trying to think of something worthwhile for number 20,000. I was going to repost my best post ever from seven years ago, but Josh tells me there are not archives to access. I thougt I'd seen someone else do and since that's not the case, I have to figure out something else.

Still trying to figure out why around here, being ridiculous about Bob Stoops is considered "telling it like it is," while making obvious criticism of of one of the women's coaches is mean-spirited.

For 20K -2, let me just reiterate that I love Coach Gasso and Coach Coale. Not as much as Iove Bob, but he has a much harder job coaching the team that I love more than any sport. Hard to believe he's underappreciated by OU fans, but that's the way it is heading into 2015.

It's been a weird weekend. I had my youngest on the first weekend after finals, and expected to have some fun, and he was down for the count with allergies the whole time. Now I won't get to see him for two weeks. Then my garage door broke, and in one of the all time upsets, I FIXED IT MYSELF. That is not something I'm good at.

Saved my over a hundred bucks.

One other thought. I keep reading that Cleveland has no chance against Golden State. I think the Warriors may win, but this isn't close to a done deal, even if they go up 2-0 tonight Just thinking out loud. I also think that the NBA officials are messing with game two, and it ain't helping the Warriors.

22, threads are bombed daily. In fact, I'd say that several thousand of the 20,000 posts you mentioned were bombing threads. If not more. So it's milestone. Yes. You brought it to light & someone disagreed that all of the content was worthy. Which is the poster's option. I didn't agree or disagree. Plaino is a solid contributor to this board. He offers a lot, but that doesn't mean that every post he is correct on as some wish to believe. This was proven on multiple occasions just this past season as the schedule rolled out. But nonethelss, some posters follow other posters blindly & they base their blind faith following on the tenure of a poster and not always the content of the posts. That's on them. IMO, attempting to line up a certain post such as the 20,000th post, to the degree of contacting Josh to find a self-described 'my best' post from 7 years ago is waay over the top and proves once again the level of arrogance that many on this board have discussed.

But whatever floats the boat. Even if it's taking on water.

Honestly, who has ever read a full plaino post?
Another courageous post.

But it's a solid question even if it's a question you don't want to read. 22, you should know that when you call out a poster by name you're going to get all kinds of commentary. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you pointing out the milestone and your affection for Plaino's contribution to the board. It's commendable actually. But others may disagree with your assessment. In reality, I personally think your OP is courageous. Surely you didn't think that everyone would line up and pat you and him on the back did you? Fitty thinks he's a 'thinking mans' poster. Another commnadable thought. I generally start reading his long drawn out posts but half the time, I completely disagree with him so I stop and waste my time elsewhere.

I have no agenda man. I've actually complimented 22 & Plaino in several posts. You've come at me several times about myself & Plaino, so go ahead, get it out and get over it.

Yeah, I think some civility is lost in the 'translation' here in this format.

No need for any needless gnashing of teeth really.

It's the weekend...wait a minute, WHAT?

Oh nevermind, it's only Monday, my bad.

I have no issues with you WNAS...just some of your posts....you just don't get it, so either get over it or put me on ignore.

fitty...that was during one of my periods of empty bags of psilocybin..o_O....crap happens. All is good WNAS..for whatever reason it touched a nerve. I get on him as well as far as posts go...(not just you). Maybe a trip to the mountains would help...perhaps a personal respite?.:)..

Wow, personal respite with 'shrooms?

How utterly native American of you.
Sounds like a swell party.
May you have profound visions otherwise unattainable.:)

One of the beautiful features of this new format is the improved ignore feature. It doesn't show you "this user is being ignored" every time they post. It completely erases their existence to you. Not even their quoted posts show up. Seriously, there are no traces they exist except references to their existence, which is merely comical.

I highly recommend it to anybody who seriously has zero interest in what a poster has to post. I field tested this on the UT board as a casual reader, and it kicks ***.

Peyote kicks the *** of the cow patty fungus. Just sayin. Either way, be prepared to puke. I recommend straining the solids with your teeth if you had a high dollar or otherwise memorable meal. Just chew again and swallow.

Thanks dude.
I didn't realize that the subsequent quotes were vanished also. That does rock.

Might have to try that on some hapless poster.

(I don't block anyone, ever. Guess I'm just a masochist at heart)

If you ignored me, you would have no idea I even posted except my name being explicitly referenced by somebody else in a post. Beautiful. Those you have no desire to read or to acknowledge any longer do not exist in any form.

It does give you the option of displaying the ignored users posts in a thread if you like for a chuckle or response, but if you don't, poof, sucky *** poster gone. Serious genius on the programming part. The UT board is tolerable to read again.

For me, this board is now short a few dudes who I don't give one rats *** about what they have to say about themselves, OU, or anyone else. Bring on 2015!

WNAS,

I think its fair to say that you are welcome to your criticisms of Plaino, but choosing this thread to continue to express them speaks volumes to how much it means to you that everybody know you've got beef. This thread was a tip of the cap from one friend to another and you couldn't even let them have it.

The measuring contest continues.
