Shane Beamer, if he wants a credible source to consult about our offensive issues, could consult with his dad. Frank Beamer is a hall of fame coach. Durring his days at Virginia Tech he had some pretty prolific offenses with a very talented and mobile quarterback in Michael Vick. They also played for a national championship. Frank had great coordinators, especially on the defense side of the ball with Bud Foster. Shane go talk to your dad, he's only a phone call away. Frank Beamer probably has a few friends in the industry that could make a suggestion or two with regards to potential offensive and defensive coordinators. Thoughts?

I'm sure Shane is bending his dad's ear all the time. But, the game today is quite different from when Frank had VaTech in its heyday. He still knows football, though.

I think is father is someone he can trust and hopefully would listen to. I also think his father would be honest and shoot it to him straight.

I simply can't agine him not speaking to his father about it during the off-season when he's looking to fill vacancies.
