Warren says “hold my beer”

Hate him?!?? I love seeing those ******** make one bad decision after another, displaying utter incompetence, actioning completely morally bankrupt calls, partaking in one corrupt act after another. I wouldn’t trust any one of those empty B10 suits (or NCAA fkwads) to make a ham sandwich.

The B1G is going to get fined for this. Where do you think the $$ to pay for that fine will come from? Their incompetence is going to cost Penn state 7 figures.

The rest of the b1g should pay Penn State’s share to start making up for the stolen bowl money from years ago.

"$60 MM in stolen bowl money?" That would have taken about 10 years to do.

$60mm was the NCAA fine, most of which wound up in PA, So if PSU has a claim , it should look to Harrisburg.

I was posting early while lying in bed, before my morning latte. Of course, $60MM was the ncaa fine.

Nevetheless, we can claim $60 MM in stolen bowl money. Interest.

No matter. Neeli can try to get it back from Indianapolis, Rosemont, and Harrisburg. Penn State could certainly put it to use.

Wow….what a cluster.

One question though, what’s the story behind teams not playing night games after a certain point in the season?

Again, who is vetting these guys? Word is Warren had no clue how college football worked and in the TV deal awarded a future B1G Championship Game to NBC much to Fox’s surprise….

Yeah, except there are also reports out there that because FOX actually owns the Big 10's rights FOX was a participant in all of the media negotiations with NBC and CBS. So it should have been impossible for that to happen without FOX knowing. The whole thing is very complicated and I'm sure only small tidbits that they want us to see are actually going public. Don't forget that ESPN was the initial source on this mess, the same network that no longer airs the Big 10 and is all in on the SEC, the Big 10's biggest competitor.

I think there's no doubt the ESPN article was slanted as it was to paint the Big Ten in the worse possible light for that reason and to make it seem like there is a lot more discord than reality. No doubt there are complaints and griping, but I'd imagine the article blows them out of proportion relative to have much the schools and ADs/coaches appreciate having a massive new TV deal paying them more than any other conference.

As both conferences (B1G and SEC) assimilate their newest expansion members (and the requisite re-reckonings), do you have any reason to believe that will be the case - when doing an all-in apples-to-apples comparison?

(Rhetorical question, of course, since much is still up in the air - including the delightful "kinda' sorta'" revelations currently falling out of the Kevin Warren cluster. But I think the Magic 8-Ball is starting to clear up in that regard - with the likely answer being "Not the B1G". FWIW)
