I keep saying it, it's a dead period. Basketball and baseball aren't drumming up interest.
Spring practice is the only interesting thing between now and august.
Agreed.Yeah, true. Just seems even more dead than usual for this time of year. The combo of switching sites during a down time for sports I guess. Hopefully traffic picks back up for football seAugust.
It was a bad weekend.I guess it doesn't help that it was a pretty bad weekend for Gamecock sports.
In the old days, though, losses generated more discussion than wins.
It’s gotta be a combo of dead period and the change. Either way, it would be nice to pick up a bit. There are some really good threads with 8-9 posts on them. Wish some of the other guys on the old board would come over.
I think we've got divided loyalties in terms of sports boards right now. I expect this board to pick up, however gradually.Yeah, true. Just seems even more dead than usual for this time of year. The divided loyalties is odd when you consider that the board owner has transitioned Gamecock Central to ON3.I think we've got divided loyalties in terms of sports boards right now. I expect this board to pick up, however gradually.
People get set in their ways. The divided loyalties is odd when you consider that the board owner has transitioned Gamecock Central to ON3.
My guess is that those who are set in their ways in this instance are likely not very technologically proficient.People get set in their ways.

And bookmarking the new url is downright painful. It is quite hard to type a new web address.
I figured that the best way to move forward was to not go back to Rivals. And I haven't.For me it’s as if a family split up. Now I have to visit family at two homes
No idea. Don't know. Don't care.I suppose the old forum now has the allure of being totally unmoderated.
No, we’re dealing with bowling season……did someone bring the Lysol?I keep saying it, it's a dead period. Basketball and baseball aren't drumming up interest.

There is such a thing. I believe that Vanderbilt won the women's national title in 2017 or some such.I'm sure there's a joke there somewhere that I missed. College bowling? I was about to answer with bowl season, but I'm pretty sure you didn't mean that.
Kinda tough spot. Teams stink. Even Frank’s early supporters are done. The relatively few who ever followed beisbol have already thrown in the towel. And the Board basically prohibits non-sports topics.I think we've got divided loyalties in terms of sports boards right now. I expect this board to pick up, however gradually.
So some things are good. It should also be noted that the dollar enrollment on the insiders forum pulled a lot of the action also. But this is still The Franchise and sports won't always be this inert. Stuff will happen.Kinda tough spot. Teams stink. Even Frank’s early supporters are done. The relatively few who ever followed beisbol have already thrown in the towel. And the Board basically prohibits non-sports topics.
Not much to talk about.
WBB. And while they don't bring in the easily identifiable $$$ that football does, they do represent USC well.Kinda tough spot. Teams stink. Even Frank’s early supporters are done. I much prefer this board. Insider, as someone described a few weeks ago, is sort of clannish. If you stray from the "everything is great" unofficial slogan, the sunshine pumpers tear you to shreds. Isn't that ironic?
It's hard to have serious discussions of different ideas and takes when the environment is like that.
My guess is that those who are set in their ways in this instance are likely not very technologically proficient.

Then why is the Insiders Forum humming right along with many new posts/threads?

I visit both sites so I guess I'm extra technologically proficient. But being an engineer I kind of knew that. I visit both sites because right now neither site is holding my interest by themselves.are likely not very technologically proficient.

Yeah, I see you over there. When I told Ben I had to let him go for his lying I noticed you guys really drug him through the mud lol. I hated having to do that because I used to kinda like him but I had had enough.Ha, same boat. On all accounts.
I must say though, that I hope a good portion of the active posters over there stay over there.
