I'm finding it difficult to not go over there and give them some well deserved ****, but I can get banned too easily. I MUST wait till after the raping they will get from us.
I told them over there that they'll find out more about their team after this week against Rice. All they really learned against Notre Dame was that they aren't in ND's league, which I think they knew. I said they'd know a lot more about their team after the next three games (Rice, Cal, and OSU, all at home).
What would be bad for them would be if they struggled against those teams. And I'm not sure if they don't make QB changes quickly that they're going to have a winning record out of those three games. I can easily see 1-2 against those three if Swoopes starts. I don't think Rice could upset them because I think they just have too much talent to lose to the Owls. I think that's just the difference between the levels of competition between Notre Dame and Rice. Texas could look like world beaters against Rice compared to their outing against a much over-talented team like ND.

You're exactly right. One game and they could be back to their normal selves.
If we'd have played Ohio State our first game, I think we'd all have a different perspective of how good this team can be this year. We'd have looked just as inept.
The difference will be if Texas can look like we did against Akron. If they can't, and they still resemble the team that played ND, then it could be a looooong season for the Horns.

I understand the sentiment, but OU would have at least sniffed the endzone against Ohio State or ND.
I would like to think OU could find a way to get into the end zone at least once against Ohio State or ND. But then I remind myself of that first half against Akron and I'm not 100% sure. It all depends if OUs offensive success in the 2nd half was Riley's adjustments, or Akron's defense wearing down?
