Penn State and Washington were the finalists for three-star offensive lineman Vega Ioane. Now, the offensive lineman's pick is in.
That’s a big deal to convince a young man to move across the country to attend college.

With a couple of scant exceptions, we've never been able to recruit Samoan/Tonganese kids, virtually all of who are from the west coast, and many of who are Mormon. I hope this young man finds a sense of family and community in Happy Valley. I think he is going to be a hell of a lineman for PSU.
It took Mailata 3-4 years to get as good as he is.

Mailata never played american football before joining Eagles so I think Vega is a little ahead of the Mailata curve. I give Vega 2 years before he is serving up pancake. Glass is half full looking thru my blue white glasses.

Possible OL in a year or so: Birchmeyer, Tengwell, Nelson, Ioane, Williams, and Shelton.
I know it says above that Ioane is a 3 star and projected to IOL. Look at his tape; he's quick, strong, plays with great balance. He could play tackle (right?).
Can we please go a couple years without being snakebit again and again with injuries? With the #1 QB in the class, Singleton, Saunders, etc. this offense could be special.
