Love Gabriel and he sounds fantastic at 73. Only disappointment is he’s playing his entire new album. Would prefer more old stuff but hey, the fact he’s around and still giving it a go is a bonus.
I'm a big Gabriel fan but this new album I'm not feeling. The latest song, I thought, has been the best so far.
So was In Your Eyes the only old song he played?
Edit:
He/they also did what might be my favorite Gabriel song Solsbury Hill.

Another stellar album from Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives. A legend and this album has a Byrds feel to it since they were the back up band last year for the Sweethearts of The Rodeo Tour. If you get a chance see these guys live, Kenny Vaughan can play with the best of any genre. Their prior album, Way Out West is also terrific and produced by Mike Campbell of Tom Petty’s band.

Nice. Definitely has a (later) Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers feel to it. Graham Parsons would have liked it.

back in the day my wife worked for HDL (now defunct) whose job it was to put CD's out in Walmart, kmart etc. The people that worked for my wife, were basically hourly , without any perks etc. Long and short of it, Marty stuck the HDL hourly employee with a rather large bar bill in Pikeville, ky. I think eventually HDL reimbursed her, but it wasnt her job to entertain Marty, it was just Marty being an a$$hole. talented person though.
