as I see it, I just don't think that our boys will make it the Final Four. Unless of course, they win out and those that are undefeated begin to add some L's in their W/L column. It could happen, but it's going to be tough as hell. From this point out, OU is in their own playoff scenario as it is.

It doesn't matter what you or I think. All that matters is if OU wins out, opinion is what this dumbass committee uses. This stupid bs is no different than the polls in the eighties. Make every conference have a conference championship and let those conferences decide on the field who plays in the playoffs. Not you me or the playoffs committee. I hate Damn opinion in football. OU is the best team in the country IMO. See how that works?

You aren't going to be able to lose to a terrible Texas team and expect to make the playoffs.

The good news is that there have to be losses. Either Ohio State or Michigan State IS going to lose.

On the one loss side, either Notre Dame or Stanford WILL lose.

I don't think it matters, but UHouston or Memphis will lose. What would be very helpful would be if the winner also loses. And it's very possible. Temple could beat the winner here. If Stanford beats ND, they have several losing opportunities. I'm still pulling for Michigan to beat Ohio State. And tOSU hasn't exactly been great all year.

Ohio State rolled over Rutgers and the talking heads all said that now we've seen the real Buckeye team. Not so sure about that. Or if Iowa were to stub their toe in November and then beat the East champ, that would be just fine, thank you.

This is a long month ahead. A team is going to need some luck to stay healthy. The way the SEC is coming down, there will be one team in the final four, so it's not over. But I agree, WNAS, that watching the rankings was a little discouraging.

The Sooners will have to take care of business, which isn't maybe the likely scenario, but it is absolutely a possibility. And so is OU in the final four. We'll see.

1. Enjoy competing for a Big XII title.
2. Win Big XII title.
3. Play a 2-loss Alabama in a bowl.
4. Beat Alabama a 4th time in the Stoops era.

That is as lofty as my expectations are at this point. I'm not even thinking Final Four.
We lost to a horrible Texas.

That's the key WNAS. OU is going to need ALOT of help. All OU can do at this point is win out, and hope for the best in regards of things outside of their control going their way.

I might be in the minority, but I sure wish that Division I football would go to at least an 8 team playoff.

Well at least a 6 team playoff. That would put all the conference champions in the playoffs. And would say by by to the human mythical Championships.

This is what I would like to see. The current 4-team means it's guaranteed a Power 5 Conference champion (or more than one) will get left out of the playoffs.

You can spin it however you like, but OU pulled a no show against a horrible team. Notre Dame will lose again? To who? Stanford? I wouldn't bet on it. Regardless, none of those teams will have as bad of a loss as we have on our resume. Still can't understand how OU could show up completely uninterested against our biggest rival.

Stanford is better than NDame and playing in Santa Clara. Will be surprised if Stanford does not win. Has best running back outside of LSU and Ala. and Hogan a much more experienced QB than the NDame kid, who is good. Why all the angst about the first ranking? Last year 3 of the top 4 were Auburn, Miss. and MSU. Any of them make it? And Ohio State was No. 16. Lots to play out.

There are going to be a lot of 1 loss teams but most of those teams will not have as bad of a loss as we do. Will be interesting to see if Baylor drops any after their performance against Kstate.

A 4 team playoff system is a joke. I wish the NCAA had a more traditional playoff system like the NFL or better yet, like NCAA basketball.

Bama's loss to Ole Miss looks worse and worse and if we win out, our quality wins will overshadow a loss to a major rival.

You say this as if Alabama has no quality wins at all. Sure Alabama's loss to Ole Miss looks worse now than it did when it happened back in September. But if you think a 7-3 Ole Miss team will be on the same level as a 4-5 Texas team, then man I really don't know what to tell you. The Texas loss is BY FAR a worse loss than a loss to Ole Miss.

If Bama runs the table, they will be in no matter what. I'd say last night was a quality win. I think Fournette had 36 yards.

Well of course if Bama runs the table they will be in. Bama and Clemson will most likely be 1 and 2 and several of us will be fighting for those last two spots.

My concern and the teams concern is Baylor not the playoff.... This is exactly the kind of game why players and coaches come to OU especially after having there tails kicked the last 2 years. I can't wait to get down to Waco it should be a great game to see in person.
