UK beats Iowa with late td drive and then defensive pick. That's too bad.

I posted this in the game thread but apropos here..

comparison will now continue into next year as both guys will be playing. The Citrus announcers were talking about Levis being told he would be a late round NFL draft pick this year, and can possibly move up with another year.A bit of irony here. If Levis doesn't transfer to Kentucky. He's taking a knee in the victory formation versus Iowa for Penn State's 6th win of the season. Life has strange twists.
My point is, if we have Levis as the backup QB....we would have won the Iowa game.comparison will now continue into next year as both guys will be playing. Levis wonāt play too many downs at QB in the NFL, letās be realistic here.comparison will now continue into next year as both guys will be playing. Point is, we might have kept the wrong guy, but that's on Franklin and crew for not getting the most out of Levis. My point is, if we have Levis as the backup QB....we would have won the Iowa game.
Yep.Point is, we might have kept the wrong guy, but that's on Franklin and crew for not getting the most out of Levis.
I'm not sold either way on that one. Levis overthrew wide open receivers against Iowa just like Clifford. They're pretty much the same QB. Although Levis might be a better runner.Point is, we might have kept the wrong guy, but that's on Franklin and crew for not getting the most out of Levis.
I'd also say given Levis' 6(?) Sacks yesterday he may be more durable/less injury prone, not a bad QB trait given the oline.I'm not sold either way on that one. Perhaps you should watch him play at Kentucky. Strong & durable body with a strong and accurate arm. Exactly what will keep him out of the pros???Levis wonāt play too many downs at QB in the NFL, letās be realistic here.
Perhaps you should read what I wrote. I didnāt say he wouldnāt make an NFL roster, I said he wonāt see much playing time.Perhaps you should watch him play at Kentucky. Strong & durable body with a strong and accurate arm. Exactly what will keep him out of the pros???
I think it is the accuracy issue. If he goes to work this summer with the right guy he could play himself into a drafted QB.Perhaps you should watch him play at Kentucky. Strong & durable body with a strong and accurate arm. Exactly what will keep him out of the pros???
He had his chances was given the keys here. Crapped the bed in the opener against Indy fumbling on the 4 (FOUR) yd. line and taking forever on a 3rd and 1 , delay of game turned to 3rd and 6. Yep the same Levis.Perhaps you should watch him play at Kentucky. Strong & durable body with a strong and accurate arm. Exactly what will keep him out of the pros???
Ruling out sarcasm on your part, coming from the board's quintessential optimist, this is somewhat depressing.F*ck us from all angles. Just sucks all around for PSU these days. I donāt see it getting better anytime soon.![]()
No doubt. For awhile I thought that game was responsible for ruining the season. But in retrospect, the problems with the program go much, much deeper and there is no easy fix. Be prepared for more of the same for the foreseeable future. My point is, if we have Levis as the backup QB....we would have won the Iowa game.
