Elite 2025 EDGE Zion Grady of Troy (AL) Charles Henderson High announced his commitment to Alabama Sunday afternoon.

The 6-foot-4, 230 pounder chose the Crimson Tide over Florida State and Georgia.

“I feel like Bama checks every box when it came to my recruiting. Development was the main factor for me. Alabama in my opinion is the best at producing Edge rushers/ D-Ends. When I sat in coach Saban’s office and we discussed how they specialized in preparing their players for the next level of football and life after football. Him being able to show facts on where Alabama stood in the country on players in the league and graduation rate made my decision easy.”

His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.

“I have been able to create a good bond with Coach Hutzler and Bala. During the process I got to talk football and life with them. I got to work out with Coach Hutzler twice and gain some knowledge from him. We talked about being able to display the full package in my game to create value. So we discussed taking advantage of my pass rushing and run stop ability but he also wants me to be able to play some coverage.”

The Yellowhammer State EDGE joins coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide’s top ranked 2025 class. He is accompanied by five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams, five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, and others.
