Alabama wide receiver Agiye Hall entered the transfer portal Thursday, On3’s Matt Zenitz has learned. The news comes one day after Nick Saban confirmed Hall’s suspension for a violation of team rules.

It’s been a tumultuous week for Hall, who was removed from Alabama’s official roster at some point. On Wednesday, Saban told reporters Hall was suspended, meaning he wasn’t removed from the team, as a report suggested Tuesday.

A reporter also asked Saban what it would take for Hall to earn his way back onto the team, and Saban had a telling answer before the question finished.

“He already had that opportunity once, so I don’t know what his plans are for the future,” Saban said.

Hall was getting ready for his second season with the Crimson Tide after seeing action in three games last season. He had four catches for 72 yards, but could’ve added some depth at wide receiver this year. Alabama lost Jameson WilliamsJohn Metchie, and Slade Bolden to the NFL Draft, meaning the Crimson Tide have to replace that production. Instead, he’s opting to transfer.

Tuesday, Charlie Potter of 247Sports’ BamaOnline reported Hall was no longer listed on Alabama’s official roster and Bama Insider reported he was no longer with the program. As of Wednesday night, Hall still wasn’t listed.

Shortly after those reports came out Tuesday, he reacted on Twitter.

“News to me, but fs (for sure),” Hall wrote on Tuesday.

Wednesday, Saban said Hall had been suspended. He didn’t go into any other details besides saying it was a “violation of some team rules.”

“He is suspended from the team for violations of some team rules, whether they’re academic or whatever, it doesn’t really matter,” Saban said, via AL.com’s Mike Rodak. “Everybody has a responsibility and obligation to respect the principles and values.”

Hall just wrapped up his first season at Alabama and he practiced with the team this spring. He came to Tuscaloosa out of St. Louis, Missouri. He was a four-star wideout and the fourth-ranked wide receiver in the 2021 recruiting class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average.
