Alabama guard Aaliyah Nye has entered NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. She has a do not contact tag on her.

The senior averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Crimson Tide this past season. A 3-point sharpshooter, Nye boasts a 40.5 percent career 3-point percentage. Her 108 made 3-point baskets during the 2023-24 season was a program record. Her 3-point total is tied for the second-most in a single season in SEC history as well, leading the SEC this season while ranking third nationally.

Her highlights in Tuscaloosa include surpassing the 1,000 career point threshold during the Crimson Tide’s win over Georgia on Jan. 11, scoring a career-high 28 points — which included eight made 3-pointers — in winning fashion over Mississippi State on Feb. 25. Her eighth 3-pointer tied Alabama’s previous record for 3-pointers in a season, which she notably shattered before her tenure in Tuscaloosa ended.

Nye scored in double figures in 26 games for Alabama this past season, included four 20-plus point performances. Her scoring dominance spanned throughout the season, going on an eight-game streak of scoring 10 or more points to end the non-conference slate. During SEC play, she scored 15 or more points in six consecutive games as well.

Leading the scoring charge for Alabama, Nye helped lead the Crimson Tide to an 8-seed in the NCAA Tournament this past season. After downing 9-seed Florida State in the first round, they would go on to fall to 1-seeded Texas in the second round. Nye scored 14 points and shot 2-of-9 from deep during what turned out to be her final game rocking Alabama across her chest.

While her highest numbers come from her senior season this past year, she actually had a better stoke from beyond the arc as a junior. Shooting a career-high 45.1 percent from deep on 164 total attempts and draining five or more 3-pointers in five different games during the 2022-23 season, she helped lead the Crimson Tide to a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament, where they fell to 7-seeded Baylor 78-74 in the first round.

Nye has one season of college eligibility remaining, after playing four years of women’s basketball at the collegiate level. The East Lansing, Michigan native began her career at Illinois where she played two seasons for the Fighting Illini.
