Alabama head coach Nate Oats opened his first day back on the road recruiting by paying a visit to Quincy (Fla.) Crossroad Academy four-star shooting guard Kris Parker.

Parker said he enjoyed talking with the fourth-year coach in a social media post Friday.

The Crimson Tide are the favorites to land Parker, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Alabama has a 48.2% chance of securing his commitment, slightly ahead of UCF at 40.9%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Kris Parker is a top-100 recruit

Kris Parker is the No. 88 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is ranked higher in the 2023 On3 rankings, slotting in as the No. 54 recruit in the class.

“Kris Parker is a long and rangy wing,” On3’s Scouting Summary said. “He has confidence on the ball in the half-court, and his ability as a shotmaker continues to rise. He will need to continue adding strength and overall sharpening his tools and shot selection. There is a lot of natural talent here, and the production has given him a consensus spot in the top 50. There is an upside still to go, and the intrigue lies with the fact he continues to get better a little better each time out.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $15.5k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
