Final On3 2024 5-star Rankings 13 Newly Minted 5-stars!! New No. 1 Qb | Inside Scoop

On3 has released its final recruiting ranking for the 2024 class after the completion of the high school football season and all-star competitions. Carrollton (Ga.) tight end and Alabama signee Caleb Odom ranks No. 30 overall and five-stars in the 2024 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 32 five-star players, up from 21 in the penultimate update in November. Of those 32 prospects, 29 are signed to college programs, with three still yet to make their decisions official.

This final update comes after the end of the high school playoffs and postseason All-American games, where top prospects across the country faced off in a week of practices and ended with nationally televised games.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder committed to the Tide back on July 15 over a slew of offers, including Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, Miami and others. He took an official visit to Ole Miss this fall, but opted to shut down his recruitment soon after and signed with Alabama in December.

“Last year when I was watching Alabama or anyone, it was more as a fan, but now it is much more about my position and how I will fit in when I watch Alabama,” he told On3 in October. “My eyes are open and I am watching more as a scout for me. I am excited about what I see. They want to use me like they use Amari Niblack and I like that a lot. they get him involved in the offense with crossing routes, corner routes and I like that fit for me.”

Caleb Odom Scouting Summary

“Highly athletic, jumbo receiver with the upside to grow into a dangerous mismatch at tight end. Arguably the most skilled big pass-catcher in the 2024 cycle heading into the senior season. Checked in at listed at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds with good length for the position prior to his senior year. Starred as a receiver for one of the top high school programs in Georgia as a junior, helping Carrollton to a state title game. A long-striding, bouncy athlete with explosive movements. Has the burst to run past defensive backs as an outside receiver.

… Shows the ability to high-point passes and make acrobatic grabs in jump ball situations. Has good pacing within his routes. Very productive, finishing his junior season with 64 catches for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns. Doubles as a big-time above-the-rim athlete in basketball. Has the best dunk reel we’ve seen from a 2024 prospect. Plays high level AAU basketball and is talented enough to play the sport at a high level in college. Has some ambiguity around his long-term position. Could end up as a top player as a receiver or tight end, but may be more unique as a mismatch at tight end at this stage.”
