According to Andrew Bone of BamaOnLine, Robinson IV is taking an official visit to Alabama this weekend. It will mark his first trip to Tuscaloosa since Oct. 8.
“(Alabama cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson) said he was gonna recruit me until the end,” Robinson IV told Bone.
Robinson IV is the No. 8 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Florida.
“It’s been the same, really,” Robinson told Joseph Hastings of BamaOnLine on May 8 about the message from Robinson. “Mainly, I’m talking with Coach T-Rob. I’ve had good conversations with him, too. It’s good talking with him and everything, but he’s probably the only one I talk with from over there.”
“It’s definitely a good DB school,” he added. “They definitely produce a lot of good DBs. “Coach (Nick) Saban, coach T-Rob, coach Kobie (Jones), I know they all get their guys right over there. That’s something that really sticks out to me about Bama. I know that if I go there, I know I really have a good chance of going to the league.”
The 6-foot-0, 175-pound recruit recently told On3’s Jeremy Johnson that he is “locked in” with Georgia. He took an official visit to the Bulldogs on the weekend of June 2, as well as an official to Miami on June 9.
“That’s why I feel like I’m really comfortable there,” Robinson IV told On3’s Chad Simmons on May 30 about communication from the Hurricanes’ coaches. “If I was to flip to somewhere, it would be to Miami.”
Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class is No. 4 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 3 in the SEC. It contains eight prospects: Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville five-star athlete Jaylen Mbakwe, Carlsbad (Calif.) five-star quarterback Julian Sayin, Foley (Ala.) four-star wide receiver Perry Thompson, Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman, Mobile (Ala.) Mobile Christian School four-star linebacker Sterling Dixon, Arden (N.C.) Christ School four-star linebacker Cayden Jones, Harrisburg (Penn.) Bishop McDevitt four-star wide receiver Rico Scott and Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian three-star interior offensive lineman Joseph Ionata.
