Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman is celebrating the birthday of his mother today. He wanted it to “be special,” so he decided to announce his commitment to Alabama.

Beaman chose the Crimson Tide over some of the top programs in the country, including Clemson, Florida State and Georgia. The 6-foot-3.5, 250-pound recruit visited Tuscaloosa three times between March 4 and April 22.

“Coach (Nick) Saban is the GOAT and he puts guys in position to be great on and off the field,” Beaman told On3.

Beaman is Alabama’s third commitment in just over a month, alongside Arden (N.C.) Christ School four-star linebacker Cayden Jones and Harrisburg (Penn.) Bishop McDevitt four-star wide receiver Rico Scott. He is also the Crimson Tide’s fourth top-100 commit, joining Carlsbad (Calif.) five-star quarterback Julian Sayin, Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville five-star athlete Jaylen Mbakwe and Foley (Ala.) four-star wide receiver Perry Thompson.

Beaman is the No. 99 overall prospect and No. 13 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Alabama.

On3 rates Beaman higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 98 overall prospect and No. 10 defensive lineman in the country.

“I want to go in and make an impact early and help contribute in any way I can,” Beaman said.

Beaman is the latest high-profile recruit to choose Alabama

Beaman is the latest talented defensive lineman to choose Saban and his staff. In addition to the Crimson Tide’s head man, the four-star grew close with defensive line coach Freddie Roach.

“Coach Roach takes care of his guys,” Beaman said. “He has recruited me since day one and hasn’t slacked.”

Following Beaman’s pledge, Alabama’s 2024 class remains No. 3 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the SEC. He is the fifth four-star to choose Saban and Co., alongside Thompson, Jones, Scott and Mobile (Ala.) Mobile Christian School four-star linebacker Sterling Dixon.

“The message from Alabama has really been the same since they started recruiting me,” Beaman previously told On3. “I talk to coach Roach a lot. He calls me to check up on me and we talk about our days and it’s really just normal conversations.”

“I think it’s a good defensive scheme,” Beaman also told BamaInsider about the Crimson Tide. “If I was to go there, I think it would fit me well.”
