Norman (Okla.) Community Christian School four-star EDGE Bai Jobe made a trip this weekend to Alabama.

The best player from the state of Oklahoma in the 2023 cycle, Jobe posted photos from the trip on social media.

A few weeks before the visit, Jobe had received a surprise phone call from someone on the Crimson Tide staff: Nick Saban.

“I really liked Nick,” Jobe said, “but I didn’t know him before the call. I didn’t know his name. Someone told me that Nick Saban was trying to call me and I had to ask who Nick Saban was.”

Jobe is from Senegal and moved to the United States in 2018.

He is the No. 99 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 is the highest on Jobe in the industry, putting him as the No. 25 overall recruit in the 2023 On300 ranking.

Jobe was one of the biggest risers when the most recent edition of the 2023 On300 dropped, as On3 has been ahead of the industry on Jobe’s potential.

“Jobe is one of the most improved players in the cycle on junior video, making the move from 191 to No. 25,” On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton said. “Jobe has greatly improved his initial movement skills, pad level, bend and ability to turn the corner without wasted motion. And Jobe’s offer list has exploded as well with 30 offers, including 10 Power Five programs in February. The list includes Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas and Ole Miss. Jobe’s is a must get recruit for the Sooners in the 2023 cycle.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $7.6k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
