New Alabama staff re-offers elite LSU CB commit Jaboree Antoine
New Iberia (La.) Westgate four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine is one of the most sought-after cornerbacks in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Antoine committed to home-state LSU near the end of January and is part of the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation.
But Kalen DeBoer and his new staff at Alabama are continuing to recruit the elite defensive back. Antoine announced on social media Thursday that he had been re-offered by the Crimson Tide.
Antoine is the nation’s No. 45 overall prospect and No. 7 cornerback in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 recruit in Louisiana.
On3 rates Antoine higher than the other major recruiting services. He ranks No. 19 overall and No. 3 among corners in the 2025 On300.

Antoine chose LSU over Texas, Georgia and Tennessee. Alabama, Texas A&M, Miami and Michigan were also in the mix.
“It’s a great atmosphere. There’s nothing like it, nothing like the culture there at LSU. There’s nothing like being home in Louisiana,” Antoine told On3.
“He had a lot, him coming back to LSU is a big thing for me, no other place like LSU and Corey Raymond in the picture was the icing on the cake,” he added.
Kalen DeBoer’s early lessons in Tuscaloosa
DeBoer spent two seasons as Washington and Fresno State‘s head coach following his five-year tenure of dominance at NAIA powerhouse Sioux Falls. But despite Tuscaloosa representing his first time coaching in the south at one of the most daunting programs to take over, he’s found a unique way to unite the Crimson Tide team.
“Along the way I think we’re getting stronger and stronger because of just the way we’ve united,” DeBoer said this week. “I think one of the connecting points was kind of going back to just falling short here the last season. Whether it be myself and a couple of our staff members that can from Washington or the team here. We kind of finished the season with an empty pit in our stomach and that’s been something that’s really kind of united us.
“So it’s been really cool seeing those that have been on the staff before, those that have been here before as players, and us coming together with the staff that I’ve brought in to add to it.”
