Alabama is trending in the recruitment of Lancaster (Texas) four-star running back Kewan Lacy, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman and Nebraska recruiting insider Bryan Munson each logged expert predictions in favor of the Crimson Tide, at 60% and 55% confidence levels respectively.

Alabama now leads in Lacy’s recruitment, per the RPM, with a 59.4% chance of receiving Lacy’s commitment.

Lacy impressed by ‘Bama atmosphere

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Lacy decommitted from Nebraska at the end of October after initially pledging to the Cornhuskers back in June. Lacy proceeded to visit Alabama at the start of November as the Tide hosted LSU.

“He (Kewan) said he had a great time,” Lancaster assistant head coach Kevin Whitley told BOL. “He said it was an awesome environment, and just a great game atmosphere against LSU. It’s Bama- which is second to none.

“Everything they have there is next level from the weight room to the facilities. I told him he would see all kinds of different guys there- former players who are now in the NFL. I told him to try and take advice and learn from different angles. He definitely had a good time.”

Lacy is the nation’s No. 278 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the cycle’s No. 20 running back and No. 48 recruit from Texas.

On3 rates Lacy significantly higher than other major recruiting services. It is the only service to rate Lacy as a four-star prospect — he is the No. 85 recruit in the 2024 On300, the cycle’s No. 6 running back and No. 18 player from Texas.

Lacy does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
