Alabama home to QB competition in 2024?

After the loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl, Alabama defensive back Terrion Arnold made an appearance on 3 Man Front. There, while talking about Nick Saban, he mentioned knowing the anniversary of when Nick Saban was hired.

That was impressive to the hosts and gave Arnold an opportunity to joke about how old he is these days. In fact, to hear him say it, he’s so old that Miss Terry, Nick Saban’s wife, is his best friend.

“I’m old, man,” Terrion Arnold joked. “Miss Terry’s like my best friend, dude. You know I know all this kind of stuff, man, I know stuff that y’all don’t think I know.”

Really, Terrion Arnold isn’t that old. He’s 20 years old now and looking to make a decision about his future at Alabama. He can either declare for the NFL Draft or return for another season. However, for now, that’s a decision he readily admitted that he hasn’t been paying too much attention to.

At least, if Arnold does need someone to consult about that decision, he can always go to his best friend, Miss Terry, for advice.

Interestingly enough, Terrion Arnold is making this decision at Alabama at the same time that Nick Saban is likely making a decision about his own future. After all, there are plenty of people who think retirement is on the horizon for Saban. However, Arnold isn’t one of the people who think that might happen.

“Coach Saban ain’t goin’ nowhere. He’s gonna die coaching,” Arnold said.

Maybe Terrion Arnold has some insight into Nick Saban’s decision making because of his friendship with Miss Terry. On the other hand, he may just have picked up on the tendencies of his head coach.

Miss Terry opens up on how Nick Saban has handled loss in Rose Bowl

After he finished his postgame press conference for the Rose Bowl, Nick Saban and Miss Terry spoke to one another. She later shared what the two said to one another. It was about what he wanted to do now that the game was over, be it watching another football game or not. He didn’t, so they watched Netflix instead.

Miss Terry said that they’re watching foreign language shows and movies. That way you have to stay focused on the subtitles and what you’re watching. It doesn’t let the mind wander.

“It completely gets your mind off of [the defeat],’’ she explained.

What’s next for Nick Saban remains to be seen. For now, though, he’s going to reset after the Rose Bowl and look ahead to the offseason.
