It’s evident former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold will always have love for Nick Saban and the coach’s wife, Miss Terry.

During an appearance on SportsCenter on Saturday, the projected first rounder elaborated on his relationship with Saban and his wife, telling a story on why the latter has meant so much to him over his time with the Crimson Tide.

“She’s just shown me that people can really be true to their words,” Arnold explained. “When I first got to Alabama, obviously you’re going to take care of your players. You’re going to have certain relationships. But no, she really cares about guys. I’ve even shared a story about how she gifted me a book to read on New Year’s, but it was missing the first 18 pages. The reason it was, is because she had handed those 18 pages to Henry Ruggs in jail. It just showed the type of person she is.

“Like man, she’s really there. Being around Coach Saban, and the culture here for over 50-plus years, she’s understood what it’s like to be at high points in life, what it’s like to be in low points, and she kept me very even-keeled.”

Alas, Saban and Miss Terry will still be around Alabama, but it’s evident them Saban not coaching the team and being there in the same capacity will have an impact. Nevertheless, Terrion Arnold and the rest of Saban’s former players will carry some important life lessons into their next chapters.

Terrion Arnold expecting the unexpected with his draft stock

Moreover, Terrion Arnold is going to be ready for anything and everything when the 2024 NFL Draft takes place next week. While appearing on The Paul Finebaum Show this week, the former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback talked about his draft stock as the big day gets closer.

“I’m hearing to expect the unexpected,” Arnold said. “The draft is kind of like a chess match. A lot of teams aren’t going to show their hand or show their move until it’s time to make those necessary moves. So there’ll be teams that trade up, teams that trade back, players that go earlier than expected, players that go later than expected. So hopefully I’m one of those guys that goes earlier than expected.”

Arnold is expected to go fairly high in the draft. In Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft. He has the 21-year-old being selected by the Indianapolis Colts at No. 15 overall.

“He had five interceptions last season as he developed into the Crimson Tide’s top defensive back,” Kiper wrote in his mock draft. “He played a ton of press coverage in college, so he understands angles and knows how to knock receivers off their routes. He would have a chance to be Indianapolis’ top CB as a rookie.”
