Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity Catholic wide receiver Bryce Lewis has decommitted from Arizona, he announced on Saturday afternoon.

He was pledged to the Wildcats since Aug. 16. Lewis also holds offers from Kansas State, Maryland, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Louisville and others. He was the lone commit in Arizona’s 2025 recruiting class.

“First off, I want to express my gratitude to the coaches of Arizona for giving me an incredible opportunity. The support and guidance I received from them have been truly amazing I want to thank the coaches for believing in me and for everything they’ve done. After a lot of careful thought and consideration, I’ve made the decision to decommit from Arizona and my recruitment is 100% open. I will not be taking any interviews at this moment, please respect my privacy,” Lewis wrote in his announcement.

Last fall, Lewis made visits to Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Alabama and Kansas State. He was in Manhattan for the first time back in October to watch a win over UCF. He caught up with K-State Online after the visit to discuss his interest in the Big 12 program.

“The visit was great,” he told KSO. “Coach [BrianAnderson was great. He took the time to talk with me and my mom. The facilities and stadium itself were fantastic. The energy in the locker room after a hard fought win was unreal.”

“K-State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Kansas are standing out to me,” he added. “They’re consistently in contact, showing love and have shown that they are actively recruiting me.”

More on Arizona Recruiting

Arizona recruiting was a casualty via the coaching carousel that ensued following the retirement of legendary Alabama head coach Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide opted to hire Washington skipper Kalen DeBoer, which led to the Huskies pulling Arizona HC Jedd Fisch to Seattle.

Many Arizona commits and signees followed Fisch or decided to look elsewhere. The Wildcats hired Brent Brennan from San Jose State, and in the end, signed 13 prospects in the 2024 cycle.

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain three-star athlete Dylan Tapley and Pasadena (Calif.) John Muir three-star linebacker Turran Williams are the lone top-1000 recruits in the On3 Industry Ranking that signed with the program.

Prospects from Arizona and California make up all but one of the signees in the class — which fell to No. 95 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, which was next-to-last among the Power Four programs, besting just SMU.
