Four-star quarterback Demond Williams Jr. of Chandler (AZ) Basha High announced his commitment to Arizona Monday afternoon.

The 5-foot-11, 180 pounder was previously committed to Ole Miss.

Williams on why he chose Arizona

“I would say the NFL connections that coach Fisch has and them believing in my abilities since day 1. I feel like it is a great opportunity to prepare me for the next level. As well as developmentally getting me to get to my maximum potential.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“Really all of them, I’m tight with the whole staff from the whole offensive and defensive staff and to come in and compete and help Arizona become great.”

What it means to stay home to Williams & family

“It means a ton especially with how much family that lives down there, and being there for my siblings and parents whenever I’m needed means a lot to me.”

The Copper State quarterback joins coach Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats’ top 50 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by five-star EDGE Elijah Rushing and others.

Williams ranks as the No. 300 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 18 quarterback and the No. 4 player in the state of Arizona.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $63K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
