Even though he’s committed to Michigan, Los Angeles Leuzinger four-star EDGE Kevonte Henry was trending toward Oklahoma in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. But momentum has shifted to a new program.

That new program – the Arizona Wildcats.

Kevonte Henry was in Arizona this past weekend on an official visit. And it’s the Wildcats that have now picked up major momentum in his recruitment.

According to the On3 RPM, the Wildcats are the leader to land his eventual signature on Signing Day. The Wildcats have a 29.3% chance of landing Henry. Oklahoma’s chances have dropped to 15%.

The On3 RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

And it’s an expert prediction that has shifted things in Arizona’s direction for Kevonte Henry.

Henry has become a priority target for the Wildcats, and he built a strong bond with a number of Arizona signees from the Polynesian Bowl.

Heck, even Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch hinted over the weekend that he hopes to land “six or more” recruits from the Polynesian Bowl. There are already six known players committed to the Wildcats from the game, so Henry is believed to be the “more” that Fisch is talking about.

Kevonte Henry, who is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, is the No. 263 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 28 EDGE and the No. 21 senior prospect in California.

On3’s own rankings are quite a bit higher on Henry, labeling him as the No. 175 prospect nationally, No. 19 EDGE and No. 9 prospect in California.

Henry committed to Michigan in late June. However, he opted not to sign with the Wolverines during the Early Signing Period. He drew interest from a number of schools since then, including Oklahoma, Florida and Arizona. He visited the Sooners two weeks ago.

In the end, all indications are that Michigan isn’t really pushing to keep him on board as part of the 2022 class.
