Searcy (Ark.) Harding Academy three-star linebacker Wyatt Simmons has announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Simmons is the No. 532 overall prospect and No. 55 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Arkansas.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Simmons was at one point trending toward Auburn in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) but moved toward the in-state Razorbacks in recent weeks.

Simmons does not currently have a public On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Simmons joins top 25 class

Arkansas’ 2024 class currently ranks No. 20 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 11 in the SEC. Seven blue-chip recruits have pledged to this Arkansas group, all of which are four-star prospects.

Temple (Texas) Lake Belton four-star cornerback Selman Bridges, ranked No. 76 nationally, headlines the Razorbacks group. He is joined in the top 100 by Pine Bluff (Ark.) Wilbur D. Mills four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins.

Also part of Arkansas’ class are Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point four-star wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman, Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star athlete Courtney Crutchfield, Leeds (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Kavion Henderson, Benton (Ark.) four-star running back Braylen Russell and Batesville (Miss.) South Panola four-star linebacker Julius Pope.

In addition to Pope and Simmons, Marietta (Ga.) Kell three-star Justin Logan and Decatur (Ga.) Columbia three-star Jadan Baugh fill out the linebacker corps in this 2024 group.

Arkansas currently has a class rating of 89.54, thus far up slightly from its 2023 recruiting class.
