The Arkansas Razorbacks had a down year on offense this year. After the end of the 2023 regular season, head coach Sam Pittman went out and hired former Razorbacks head coach Bobby Petrino as the program’s next offensive coordinator. However, the duo has brought in another elite offensive mind to bolster their offensive staff further.

On Wednesday, according to Matt Zenitz, Arkansas revealed that they are hiring Missouri State Co-offensive coordinator Ronnie Fouch as their new wide receivers coach.

Fouch might be new to Arkansas and working with Pitman, but he is more than familiar with Petrino. The new Arkansas wide receivers coach has worked with Petrino at multiple stops. Fouch worked under the Razorbacks offensive coordinator during his time with the Louisville Cardinals and was listed as the team’s offensive quality control coach. The two would part ways for a few years before reuniting at Missouri State while Petrino was heading that program.

Fouch, who is a former college football quarterback for both Indiana State and Washington, is familiar with leading multiple position groups throughout the offense. Aside from his offensive quality control coach position at Louisville and being the co-offensive coordinator at Missouri State, he has been the tight ends coach at Florida Tech and the quarterback coach for the Salt Lake Stallions.

Texas A&M transfer WR Jordan Anthony commits to Arkansas

Former Texas A&M wide receiver Jordan Anthony is reportedly taking his talents to Arkansas via the transfer portal, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.

“Former Texas A&M wide receiver Jordan Anthony is transferring to Arkansas, per the A&P Agency. He also plans to run track at Arkansas,” Thamel posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Anthony played sparingly for the Aggies during the 2023 season, appearing in two games and finishing the season with three receptions for 14 yards. He previously played football and ran track & field at Kentucky, where he was a first-team All-American in the latter.

As Thamel mentioned, Anthony is expected to return to track & field in Fayetteville, where he’ll play both sports for the Razorbacks.

Moreover, the wide receiver did not log any stats during his lone season at Kentucky due to using his redshirt, but came into the program with the reputation of being one of the fastest athletes in the country, regardless of sport. He proved his worth on the track and is labeled as one of the best track stars in the sport.

Anthony played high school football at Tylertown (MS) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 345 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
