Transfer Portal Update January 4, 2024 - Michael Jackson III to Georgia

Former Arkansas quarterback Kade Renfro has entered the NCAA transfer portal for the second time in his collegiate career.

Renfro started off his career at Ole Miss before deciding to transfer to Arkansas at the beginning of 2021. A pair of knee injuries caused Renfro to miss the 2021 and 2022 seasons for the Razorbacks, which was followed by a bizarre exit from the program in 2023.

Renfro was dismissed from the program and removed from the Arkansas roster in May of 2023 entering his redshirt junior season with the team after sexual assault accusations surfaced from an anonymous account via social media regarding Renfro. Renfro amended a lawsuit in Texas, with his lawyer filing two separate lawsuits claiming that Renfro suffered damages after social media accounts were created that accused him of sexual assault.

He’ll now seek a fresh start and a new program to call home ahead of the 2024 football season.

Renfro played high school football at Stephenville (TX), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,113 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
