As they say in Arkansas, Sam Pittman is all Hog. He showed it once again this week when he added a bronze statue of two Razorbacks to his lake house. Pittman showed off the new additions on his Twitter on Monday morning.

Pittman’s Lake Hamilton property is where the Arkansas head coach intends to retire after what is shaping up to be a successful tenure with the Razorbacks. After a 3-7 season with an all-SEC schedule in 2020, Pittman led the Hogs to a 9-4 finish in 2021, including a win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl.

The head Hog’s new Razorback statue is also a fountain. It’s similar to the one found outside of the Razorback stadium in Fayetteville, except with two hogs, instead of six. It’ll be hard for anyone to miss his 6,924-square foot home with the hogs hanging out by the edge of the lake.

Sam Pittman says Arkansas will be his last job

Prior to the offseason, Sam Pittman acquired top college coach agent Jimmy Sexton as his new representation. The move prompted questions about his future goals.

“I don’t want my loyalty at the University of Arkansas to be tested just because I changed representations,” Pittman said, as posted in a tweet by Arkansas radio personality John Nabors. “This is my last job. I have said it before and it hasn’t changed.”

Pittman, 60, has been in coaching throughout his adult life with assistant coaching stops at Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. After serving as Arkansas’ assistant head coach, recruiting coordinator and offensive line coach from 2013-15, Pittman returned to lead the Razorbacks’ program in 2020.

Arkansas is ready for another big year in 2022 after inking new deals with six assistant coaches. Both offensive coordinator Kendal Briles and defensive coordinator Barry Odom received raises. They were hot names during the annual coaching carousel but opted to stick with Pittman in Fayetteville.
