3-star EDGE Carson Dean commits to Arkansas Razorbacks

Carrollton (Texas) Hebron EDGE Carson Dean has committed to Arkansas, he announced Monday evening on social media.

Dean is the No. 557 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 47 EDGE and the No. 101 prospect in Texas.

As a junior, Carson Dean put together a productive campaign with 86 tackles, 10 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, a pick-six, 25 tackles for loss, and over 30 reported QB pressures in 11 games.

He chose the Razorbacks — who offered him just two days ago — over offers from Texas, Texas Tech, LSU, Baylor, Ole Miss and nearly a dozen other programs. He Arkansas over the weekend along with a number of other prospects and came away with a prized offer that he decided to pounce on.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Dean is Arkansas’ 10th commitment in the 2023 class, joining a class headlined by four-star tight ends Luke Hasz, Shamar Easter and Jaden Hamm. The Razorbacks’ crop ranks No. 6 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
