Four-star EDGE Jamonta Waller of Picayune (MS) Memorial High flipped his commitment from Florida to Auburn Saturday night.

The 6-foot-2, 235 pounder had been committed to the Gators since June.

“This hasn’t been an easy process knowing I have to make sure I chose the best school and town for me. First off the entire coaching staff has been phenomenal to me. Every one of them reaches out to me often but the main guy is Coach Freeze himself. He is relentless in everything he does and that stands true with recruiting me. I believe he will be the man to turn the program around like he has done in the past and I am honored he persistently chose me to be a part of the foundation. Coach Garret talks to me often and being a Mississippi man himself it just feels like family. He will be an asset to me while there and for my future. Also Coach Roberts lets me know everytime I talk to him that I’m his main guy and he wants me in the Jack position. Lastly, it’s the hometown vibe. I can see myself living in Auburn when my football career comes to an end.”

The Magnolia State EDGE joins coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers’ top 20 2024 class. He is accompanied by four-star wide receiver Perry Thompson, four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick, and others.
