Dyersburg (Tenn.) four-star defensive lineman Kalen Edwards has committed to Auburn, he announced.

He chose the Tigers while also holding offers from the likes of Tennessee and Georgia. Edwards was one of the many visitors on The Plains for the Iron Bowl over the weekend.

Edwards is the No. 254 overall prospect and No. 28 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Tennessee.

He does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The addition of Edwards makes seven commitments for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers in the 2025 cycle. The class ranks No. 7 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.

Edwards is the fifth junior defensive prospect in the class. He’s also the third DL in the fold, joining Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star Jourdin Crawford and Opelika (Ala.) four-star Malik Autry.

“Everything (about them), just everything,” Crawford told Auburn Live about the Tigers. “The way they treat me. I also like the way they play. Maybe the coaches (are the main reason), but I would just say everything all over.”

Headlining the class is Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central four-star safety Kendarius Reddick, the No. 83 recruit and No. 6 safety in the cycle. He committed to Auburn on Oct. 19.

“Reddick, when playing the safety position, is more of a three-level player than a coverage player,” Auburn Live’s Cole Pinkston wrote of the elite DB. “He can walk up and blitz, he can drop back in a zone, and he can tackle in space. He has a various skillset as a defensive back.

Behind Reddick is Highland Home (Ala.) four-star EDGE Jakaleb Faulk, a top-200 prospect and top-15 EDGE. He was the second recruit to join AU’s 2025 class, behind Autry. Faulk is the brother of current Tiger, Keldric.

“I love the new staff and the energy they’re bringing,” Faulk told On3 upon his pledge. “I love how enthusiastic they are and excited about the season, I have a good feeling about them and I think they could do way better than they did last year just off of their recruiting. It’s kind of amazing to me.”
