Opa Locka (Fla.) Miami Norland three-star defensive lineman Dimitry Nicolas has moved up his commitment date to Friday, and one SEC school is the overwhelming favorite according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Auburn is trending to land Nicolas’ commitment with a 96.6% chance according to the RPM. Auburn was the last visit Nicolas made before the August dead period, and the Tigers have been the favorite since that visit in late July.

AuburnLive insiders Cole Pinkston and Jeffrey Lee have both entered expert predictions for the Tigers at 60% and 70% confidence levels, respectively.

“Coach (Jeremy) Garrett is a good, genuine guy,” Nicolas told AuburnLive. “We have had a lot of conversations since Big Cat. We talk almost every day. He’s also had a couple of conversations with my mom. My mom likes his energy, the vibes he gives off. He just seems like a good, young guy.

“Coach (Hugh) Freeze is another energetic, genuine guy. My mom and dad talked to him. Every day he sends me quotes to keep me up and to have a good day and a good practice. He’s just a good guy.”

Nicolas is the nation’s No. 571 overall prospect and No. 55 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 74 player in Florida.

He does not currently have a public On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Nicolas would put Auburn at 17 commits

Nicolas would be the third commitment along the defensive line for Auburn, joining Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star TJ Lindsey and Pike Road (Ala.) three-star Malik Blocton.

Auburn currently ranks No. 14 nationwide in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 7 in the SEC. The Tigers made a big splash in late July by flipping Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County five-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick from Georgia and Foley (Ala.) five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson from Alabama. Those two headline the class along with Tuskegee (Ala.) Booker T. Washington top-100 linebacker Joseph Phillips.

Little Rock (Ark.) Christian Academy four-star quarterback Walker White is this group’s signal-caller and ranks inside the top 150.
