Bryan Harsin and the No. 18 Auburn Tigers got the best of Lane Kiffin and the No. 10 Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, both on and off the field.

Auburn quarterback Bo Nix completed 22 of his 30 passing attempts for 276 passing yards and a touchdown, while adding eight rushes for 30 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Tank Bigsby also tallied 140 rushing yards and a touchdown of his own on 23 carries, and Matt Corral couldn’t will Ole Miss to a come-from-behind victory after injuring his ankle, getting carted off the field and later returning to play.

It was a big win for Harsin and the Tigers, and as such, Auburn’s mascot, “Aubie,” had some fun with Kiffin off the field.

Two weeks ago, in Ole Miss’ road win over Tennessee, a school at which Kiffin used to coach, the referees’ ruling on the field prompted Tennessee fans to pelt trash and debris onto the field. A golf ball appeared to hit Kiffin in the process, and he proceeded to parade the ball around his postgame interviews. While Tennessee received a $250,000 fine and a number of penalties from the SEC for its actions, Kiffin continued to have fun with the golf ball, and the Ole Miss Golf Course even sold limited edition Kiffin golf balls, which displayed the final score of Ole Miss’ win over Tennessee.

There would be no golf balls hitting Kiffin this week. Instead, Aubie took the pelting, dressing up in an inflatable suit that said “fore!” while kids started hitting him with golf clubs.

Aubie poked fun at Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels as Auburn controlled the fate of the game, but Kiffin is no stranger to being trolled by mascots. Aubie’s troll came just weeks after Alabama’s “Big Al” did the same during Alabama’s rout of Ole Miss.

Minutes before kickoff between Ole Miss and Alabama, Lane Kiffin in the CBS pregame interview told viewers to “get your popcorn ready,” before dropping the mic and walking away midway through the follow-up question. It was a quick turnaround for Big Al, who started trolling Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels as the Crimson Tide led 42-14 in the fourth quarter. Hours after Kiffin’s popcorn comment, while Alabama fans sang along to Dixieland Delight in the fourth quarter, Big Al was seen dancing in the Alabama end zone — with a large popcorn box prop around the waist of the costume.
