Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central four-star wide receiver Adam Hopkins is set to announce his commitment on Thursday morning.

He’s yet to release an official list of finalists, but the teams considered to be in contention are Auburn, Arkansas, Kansas State, Florida State and Texas A&M.

But after an official visit with the Tigers over the weekend, it’s Bryan Harsin and Co. are trending in a major way, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The RPM gives Auburn a 98.0 percent chance of landing his commitment, with no other program sitting above 1.0 percent.

Hopkins had initially planned to visit The Plains in late October, but due to a scheduling change, moved his official visit up to this past weekend when the Tigers hosted San Jose State. He previously had two more visits planned — Arkansas (Oct. 1) and Kansas State (Nov. 5) — but it remains to be seen if those stay on the calendar after his expected commitment later this week.

Adam Hopkins Recruiting Profile

Hopkins is the No. 198 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 29 wide receiver and the No. 16 recruit in the state of Georgia.

On3’s scouting and rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:

“Juiced up two-way athlete who can score six at wide receiver and as a corner. Stands in at just over 5-foot-11, 175 pounds with a 6-foot-4 wingspan. Solid top-end speed, can really see it on vertical routes as a receiver and in recovery as a corner. Ran an electronically-timed 4.60 40-yard dash and a 4.35 shuttle during the spring camp circuit prior to his junior season.

… Excellent ball skills and ability to go and high point the football. Caught 28 passes for 357 yards and 2 touchdowns on offense during his junior season and notched 2 interceptions and 12 passes defended on defense. Physical player in the run game and with the ball in his hands. Projects to either side of the ball at the next level, but natural ball skills could see his home early on at wide receiver.”
