Rivalry between Alabama and Auburn fans is 24/7/365. The Iron Bowl never truly sleeps for anybody involved, even former players and coaches. Former Tigers headman Tommy Tuberville was the latest example on Wednesday, getting an elite troll out on Twitter.

The official Twitter account of The Paul Finebaum Show posed a question on Wednesday, asking fans to name an opposing coach who made “life miserable.” Tuberville decided to pose as an Alabama fan when answering the questions, posting a picture of himself.

It’s a photo people in Tuscaloosa will have tried to block out of their minds for years, with Tuberville holding up six fingers in an orange Auburn shirt. The number six represented the number of consecutive Iron Bowls Tuberville had won, dominating the state while on the Plains.

You can check out the full post from Tuberville below.

The famous photo of Tuberville was taken after the 2007 Iron Bowl win, the first season Alabama head coach Nick Saban took over. A 25th-ranked Auburn won a defensive 17-10 battle, finishing the year 8-4 while the in-state rivals dropped to 6-6.

All six wins were tight contests as well, with 10 being the largest margin of victory but occurring twice. Add in differences of five (2003), eight (2004), seven (2006), and seven (2007) and you still have the same competitive Iron Bowl. Auburn just wound up on the winning side every time.

Since the six-game Tuberville win streak, nobody has rattled off more than three wins in a row. Alabama had Iron Bowl successes from 2014-2016 and November’s victory at Bryant-Denny Stadium marked a third straight. Auburn has not strung together back-to-back rivalry wins since.

Fifteen matchups later and the Tuberville photo will likely trigger Alabama fans across the entire state. Pull it out in another 15 years and you’re likely to get just as strong of a reaction.
