Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is returning to college football for another season in 2024.

Instead of taking his talents to the NFL or leaving the Broncos via the NCAA Transfer Portal, Jeanty is retiring to the team for another season.

Check out his official announcement below. He wrote a heartfelt letter to Boise State fans, accompanied with the caption, “Let’s run it back!”

Entering Week 13 of the 2023 college football season, Jeanty was listed as the No. 12 Running Back in the nation on On3’s Top 25 RB Rankings in College Football. One of his best performances of the year came against San Diego State on Sept. 22nd, when he erupted for over 250 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

In the 2023 MWC Championship against UNLV, Jeanty shredded the Rebels for 153 rushing yards and a touchdown in their 44-20 victory, guiding the Broncos to their first Mountain West Conference title since 2019.

Jeanty was recently named the 2023 Mountain West Conference Player of the Year. He became the first player in college football to rush for over 1,000 yards and haul in over 500 receiving yards since 2019.

As a high school prospect, Jeanty attended Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas. In the 2022 cycle, he was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 889 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
