Brooks Bahr, a three-star shooting guard in the 2024 class, has committed to BYU.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior out of Keller (TX) chose the Cougars over a final group of Wake Forest, USC, Utah, and St. Mary’s.

“I believe BYU can develop me and get me to where I want to go,” Bahr said to On3. “I built some great relationships with the entire coaching staff, and value how much they believe in me. The style of play fits my game and what I bring to the table.”

In his own words, what type of player is BYU getting in Brooks Bahr?

“I’m a point guard and playmaker that can create for others but also score at a high level. I go hard on both ends of the court, and make winning plays.”

He has a message for Cougar fans.

“I’m gonna take BYU back to the big Dance and we’re gonna win. That’s what I came here to do.”

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Bahr is the No. 213 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 44 shooting guard prospect and the No. 17 player in Texas. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
