4-star OL Ian Reed officially signs letter of intent with Clemson

Austin (Texas) Vandergrift four-star offensive lineman Ian Reed has signed his national letter of intent to Clemson.

Reed is the No. 254 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Consensus rankings. He committed to Clemson back on June 7.

Reed is an interior offensive lineman at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds.

“The family aspect that they approached me with has stood out,” Reed said in a previous interview. “The coaches and players want to get better and compete every day. That’s really important to me, because I want to develop and grow with the right fit and style wherever I end up choosing to go.”

The alumni base made a mark for Reed as well.

“What they have impressed me with is what opportunities they have to offer,” Reed said. “If I didn’t make it to the NFL, I know they have a strong alumni support system.”
