4-star PG Del Jones commits to Clemson

Del Jones, a 6-foot-2 point guard in the 2024 class, has committed to the Clemson Tigers.

Jones, a four-star prospect, chose to play for Brad Brownell and staff over offers from Tennessee, West Virginia, Providence, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Arizona State. It should also be noted that Clemson was Jones’ only official visit.

An Arlington, Va. native, Jones now attends AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Ariz.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Jones is the No. 101 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Del Jones Scouting Report

Del Jones is an aggressive, downhill lead guard. He has long arms with a projectable frame. Defensively, he is able to guard the point of attack; he has quick hands and feet. On the ball, he is a paint-touch lead guard. He has a crafty handle and gets downhill quickly. With his aggression comes inconsistent reads. He is also a streaky shooter, better off the bounce than the catch. He gets to the free-throw line, and there is some good passing in there. – On3’s Jamie Shaw
