Clemson EDGE Adam Kissayi has entered the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos.

Kissayi was an early enrollee for the Tigers and was a three-star recruit out of American Heritage (FL). He is the 11th player to transfer out of the Clemson program since the start of the offseason.

The Tigers have not added any players from the portal, instead have focused on traditional high school recruiting to fill the holes left by graduating and NFL-bound players.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder was the No. 507 overall prospect and No. 48 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was also the No. 61 player in the state of Florida.

Kissayi committed to Clemson less than 24 hours after receiving his official offer.

“I like how it’s a faith-based program,” Kissayi told On3’s Jeremy Johnson at the time of his commitment. “Dabo Swinney is a great coach. You go there and there’s no cussing and you know that they work hard day in and day out. A lot of guys that are in the NFL Draft said they wouldn’t be where they are if it wasn’t for Clemson. I can’t agree with them more. Every time I go there, it just feels like home.”

While Kissayi moves on, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney will continue his focus on improving his team based on their performance this spring. Particularly, the Tigers’ offense.

“I mean I think we’re more confident. We are more confident than what we were this time last year, but we are still incomplete,” said Swinney earlier this month, via On3’s Justin Rudolph.

Clemson isn’t incomplete based on their performance on the field, as they’re literally down in numbers. Swinney pointed out that Cole Turner, Tyler Brown, Noble Johnson or Troy Stellato, among others, were all unavailable during the spring game. Once all of these talents are on campus, healthy, and practicing together, Swinney likes his team’s chances this coming season.

Swinney also highlighted that Clemson didn’t lose a significant amount of its offensive talent to the 2024 NFL Draft. That is huge given the strides some of its conference foes, such as the Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, and Louisville Cardinals, have made in recent years.
