Clemson running back target Jarvis Green has set his commitment date, just days after receiving an offer from the Tigers.

Green will make his decision on Tuesday. He is down to a final two of Clemson and Virginia Tech.

The Dutch Fork star was previously committed to James Madison, before being offered by the Tigers last week.

“I’m excited,” Green told ClemsonSports of the offer last Thursday. “Getting an offer from my dream school is something I always wanted and it finally came true.”

Clemson leads for Green, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Tigers are given a 97.6 percent chance of landing Green.

If he does commit to Clemson, he would become the 24th commit for the Tigers in the class of 2023. The class is currently ranked No. 10 nationally.

While Clemson has 23 commits, Green would be the first running back to join the Tigers 2023 class.

Dabo Swinney’s program has offered eight running backs so far. Of those, three are still uncommitted in Green, Jamarion Wilcox and Jamarius Haynes.

Wilcox is likely to end up at Kentucky, while it seems likely that Green and Haynes will join the Tigers.

Clemson is not only putting together a strong recruiting class, but the Tigers have also had a strong year on the field.

The Tigers are ranked No. 7 in the College Football Playoff after going 11-2 (8-0).

They won the ACC championship earlier this month, clinching the ACC title for the seventh time in eight seasons.

Clemson will face No. 6 Tennessee in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.

Freshman quarterback Cade Klubnink will start that game for the Tigers after replacing junior DJ Uiagalelei in the first quarter of the ACC title game.

Uiagalelei has since entered the transfer portal for his senior season.
