Dabo Swinney has had his fair share of fantastic wide receivers wear the Clemson orange. In the past, stars like Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins and Mike Williams have been Tigers. Now, Swinney believes he has two great prospects in the pipeline — newly-signed four-star receivers Adam Randall and Antonio Williams.

Both players committed to Clemson on National Signing Day. Following the exciting news, Swinney evaluated both players in a press conference earlier this week.

“We’ll have to get them here .. getting them here, and really assessing where they are,” stated Swinney. “Adam is a big, physical guy that can handle himself in the boundary. But he’s got all the skills he needs to play to the field or in the slot, he can really do all of them. Then, Antonio is the same way. He’s most likely, just body type will be a two and five man for us. But as far as where he ends up, when it’s all said and done those guys most of the time cross-train and play multiple spots. But he’s a returner, he can do it all.

“It’s kind of wild again — both of them have the same birthday. So, pretty cool that two great receiver born to come to Clemson on the same day. Dynamic. Both of them are very dynamic. I mean, Adam’s played quarterback, wildcat — he’s done a little bit of everything. So anticipate those guys being able to bring a very diverse skillset to the position.”

As you can see, Swinney is exuberant when it comes to the future of Randall and Williams. With Clemson undergoing many changes on their coaching staff, one thing remains a constant — Dabo Swinney will still be bringing top-tier talent to play for him.

Dabo Swinney on five-star QB signee Cade Klubnik

Randall and Williams weren’t the only exciting recruits Swinney convinced to come to Clemson. Moreover, the cream of the crop is five-star quarterback Cade Klubnik.

Later in his press conference, Swinney waxed poetic about his future quarterback.

“He’s special. I mean he’s magic,” the Clemson coach said of Klubnik. “It’s just kind of what I see. He reminds me so much of Deshaun (Watson), just his traits, his attributes as a quarterback. Even his frame and his build coming out of high school. Very similar. Cade’s faster probably than Deshaun, but very similar skill sets.

“Man, just a great presence. But the biggest thing is this guy is out there playing in front of 30 plus thousand people at Texas Stadium there and probably going to play in front of 40, 50 thousand this weekend.”

Clemson had an off-year in 2021, but Dabo Swinney is bringing in some recruits to make sure it won’t happen again. With Cade Klubnik, Adam Randall and Antonio Williams, Clemson’s offensive dreams will soon become a reality.
