Class of 2025 four-star quarterback Blake Hebert of Lawrence (MA) Central Catholic announced his commitment to Clemson Friday morning.

The 6-foot-3, 217 pounder chose the Tigers over Notre Dame, Penn State, and others.

Hebert on why he chose Clemson

“Clemson gave me that home feeling that I was looking for. The way the coaching staff acted with me felt very authentic and the University itself was exactly what I was seeking.”

Relationship with coaching staff

“I have a really strong relationship with Coach Swinney, Coach Riley, and Jordan Sorrells. I really enjoyed being around every coach in the building but those three were the ones I spent most of my time with.”

Clemson culture and expectations

“I think their expectations bring them success. I know that they will uphold those expectations moving forward and our job will be to exceed them.”

The Massachusetts quarterback joins coach Dabo Swinney and the Tigers’ 2025 class. He is accompanied by four-star running back Gideon Davidson, who committed earlier this week.

Hebert ranks as the No. 187 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 13 quarterback and the No. 1 player in the state of Massachusetts.

On3 ranks him higher than the industry, as he ranks as the No. 65 player nationally, the No. 6 quarterback and the No. 1 player in Massachusetts.

He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Blake Hebert Scouting

“Blake Hebert looks to be one of the toolsiest and most physically-developed quarterbacks thus far in the 2025 cycle and debuts at No. 66 overall in the updated 2025 On300. The Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic quarterback is a big, strong-armed passer with high-end athleticism and movement skills. Hebert is close to 6-foot-3, 210 pounds and recently posted an electronically-timed 4.64-second 40-yard dash at Under Armour’s New Jersey regional – in a driving rain. The physical tools he flashes on his sophomore film are even more impressive. Hebert has a plus arm at this stage. The ball jumps out of his 10-inch hand. He easily pushes the ball downfield and throws with considerable zip over the middle of the field. Simply put, the arm and athleticism look to be highly translatable entering his junior season. Hebert threw for 24 touchdowns against just one interception as a sophomore.”
