Urban Meyer leads Lawrence, young, talented Jags’ squad

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a legitimate intriguing squad to follow in 2021. When was the last time causal NFL fans, media and followers could say that?. It’s wild to pause for a moment and truly consider Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is coaching former Clemson star quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence is joined in the backfield by his college running back, Travis Etienne, and Tim Tebow is somehow also on the roster.

Add in the club-level pool at the Jags’ home stadium, and you have all the ingredients for a great time. This team should be a blast to watch in 2021, and for the next 3-5 years at the very least.

Jacksonville Jaguar Best Case Scenario

Most experts believe Lawrence is a sure thing to cement himself as the face of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the next great NFL franchise quarterback. His name gets mentioned in sentences with Brady, Manning and Luck. Jacksonville bet its future on the arm of the former Clemson signal-caller. He has weapons on the outside with Marvin Jones, D.J. Chark and Laviska Shenault Jr.

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense has pieces, so if the young ultra-talented squad meshes instantly with a full offseason?

It sounds a bit wacky but the Texans are a mess.

The Colts are ascending but betting hard on a Carson Wentz turnaround.

The Titans sit atop the AFC South, but if Meyer can get this group to buy in quickly, a first-year division title is possible.

Jacksonville Jaguars Worst Case Scenario

The more realistic scenario is this young core will struggle early. Meyer’s transition to the NFL isn’t guaranteed to be seamless — and we’ve seen the greatest college coaches like Saban and Spurrier — inevitably falter after making the leap. Jacksonville Jaguars fans should embrace the rebuild. Be happy with 5-6 wins in 2021 knowing this year is laser-focused on mastering the offense. This is a talent-laden roster on both sides of the ball, but 2021 should be about developing chemistry and culture.
