Clemson 4-star LB commit Jamal Anderson records scoop-and-score, impressive sack in state championship win

Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek four-star linebacker and Clemson commit Jamal Anderson won a state title Class 7A state title with a 70-35 win over Carrollton (Ga.) on Saturday night. Anderson’s play helped his school achieve the victory.

At the start of the game, Mill Creek blocked a short field goal attempt and Anderson picked up the loose ball. He then took off down the field and crossed the goal line for a scoop-and-score.

Near the end of the contest, Anderson took off from the line of scrimmage. He quickly rushed the quarterback and brought him down for a sack.

Anderson is the No. 225 overall prospect and No. 21 linebacker in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 19 player in Georgia.

On3 rates Anderson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 145 overall prospect, No. 10 linebacker and No. 14 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound recruit is the eighth-highest-ranked recruit in the Tigers’ 2023 recruiting class. Clemson’s group is No. 9 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the ACC.
