Clemson football has been one of the most dominant teams in college football over the past decade. They’ve discovered the proper mix of top notch facilities, coaching, and on-field talent. They are blessed with the very best in many areas.

According to ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit, Clemson can also boast to have another one of college football’s best; their stadium entrance. Check out the video below.

During his annual preseason awards show, The Herbies, Herbstreit tabbed Clemson football with a Herbie for the best stadium entrance.

Clemson football has been rubbing Howard’s Rock and running down the hill before games since 1973, a tradition that was dubbed the “most exciting 25 seconds in college football’ by CBS announcer Brent Musburger in 1985.

It’s an electric atmosphere to watch, especially during night games on television. The orange balloons filling the night sky in Death Valley is a sight to see.

Fans can feel the electricity in the air as the players rub Howard’s Rock and run down the ramp onto the field. Players are surrounded by fans as they run down the ramp and leap into the air.

Clemson recruiting top notch talent

Clemson already has a quarterback who’s expected to compete for the Heisman Trophy in 2021 in quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei.

The Tigers have another special signal-caller coming through the pipeline in quarterback Cade Klubnik of Westlake (Austin, Texas). Klubnik was recently named the MVP at the Elite 11 Finals camp. It’s one of the highest honors any quarterback prospect in America can earn. Some of the previous Elite 11 MVP winners are: Matthew Stafford (LA Rams), Jameis Winston (New Orleans Saints), Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins), and Justin Fields (Chicago Bears).

Clemson has very much taken on the role of an Alabama in that they don’t rebuild, they just reload their roster.

Clemson’s dominance under head coach Dabo Swinney has been nothing short of remarkable. In 10 years with Swinney at the helm, Clemson has gone 101-30 overall and 61-16 in ACC play.

Ajou Ajou impressing in camp

Clemson wide receiver Ajou Ajou is a physical freak. He’s 6-foot-4, 220-pounds and has an 83-inch wingspan. The Canadian has drawn rave reviews for his performance this past spring for the Clemson Tigers. He led all receivers with six catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers’ spring game in April.

Head coach Dabo Swinney recently cited Ajou as one of the most improved players on his roster in the fall.

Swinney talked about Ajou’s weight when it got up to 240 pounds and how much a freak athlete he is.

“That’s kind of what I told him, he’s either gonna be Terrell Owens or Shannon Sharpe. You’re gonna have to be one of the two. And I think he could be either one. I really do,” Swinney said. “What he didn’t tell you when he was 240, he was about 10 percent body fat. Just a freak. Unbelievable.”

Clemson and Ajou Ajou kick off their 2021 season against the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, September 4th. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM in Charlotte, North Carolina. The game will be televised by ABC.
