Former Clemson tight end Eric Mac Lain took his show on the road to his alma mater, sitting down with several Tigers players ahead of the 2022 season. In his man-on-the-street style, Mac Lain digs into some football while also keeping things light.

First, he snags defensive end Myles Murphy for a brief interview where we not only learn a bit about how the defensive line is coming along, but also how Murphy dreams of designing an NFL stadium some day after he leaves Clemson.

“My dream was to be the head architect on an NFL stadium,” Murphy said.

On the football side of things, Murphy thinks Clemson is in good shape for this season.

“Starting in spring, saw a lot of buy in when it comes to nutrition, going in the film room everyday. A lot of buy in,” he said.

Mac Lain also sits down with defensive tackle Bryan Bresee to ask him about his return from injury this season.

“It’s been a lot of fun just being out there,” Bresee told Mac Lain in the Twitter teaser. “Enjoying every moment out there.”

Next on the block was Trenton Simpson and his breakfast order: lots of eggs, potatoes and assorted fruit. The fruit, he said, is a tradition he carried to college after his mom would serve fruit every morning growing up. The duo also discussed Simpson’s new defensive role that will have him playing more in the box — a wrinkle the Clemson linebacker seems very enthused with.

And the offense was not forgotten, as Mac Lain took some time with running back Will Shipley. They of course discussed the offense, but more importantly they addressed Shipley’s mullet, which made a return after Shipley asked about it on social media.
