Deion Sanders Does NOT Do Home Visits With Colorado Recruits? | Bad Move By Coach Prime?

Deion Sanders is just an honest head football coach, so why the double standard in the media? That’s what he was asked as spring practice got underway for Colorado.

It’s Year 2 now and if eyes weren’t on Sanders and the Buffaloes already, well now there’s a microscope. The biggest story in college football in 2023 now has tremendous expectations to top last year’s disappointing ending.

Sanders was asked about last year when he knew going into the spring that a lot of players weren’t going to be there come fall. Oh how different it is now.

“Most definitely, you guys knew too. But it’s funny that when I say it, it’s a problem,” Sanders said. “Well, you know, why is that? When I say what everybody’s thinking, why is that a problem? I say some things about the offensive line last year, I wasn’t derogatory to them. I just said what everybody was thinking watchin the game … Why is it a problem when I say what everyone’s thinking? You got the power of the pen and now the fingers you know that sounds really bad. But you have power.”

Colorado needs more than four wins in 2024, judging by the amount of attention Sanders draws to his team. Not to mention they have superstars like quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way player Travis Hunter.

Deion Sanders isn’t afraid to hit the transfer portal either and his team got a big recruiting win in five-star tackle Jordan Seaton.

“We already ahead,” Sanders said. “I mean at this time last year we definitely just met everybody. We had a gauge on everybody, we knew what they’re capable of and what they weren’t capable of. This year you just try to make sure the pieces fit, you know what you have, you know the depth that you have and you know several other pieces are going to be added.

“As soon as the spring is over. You know that’s going to happen this summer and we already know some names you may not know, but we already do. So it’s going to be phenomenal. It’s gonna be phenomenal.”

Colorado fans hope it’s phenomenal because the hype around that 3-0 start was unlike anything we’ve seen in modern college football. But the limitations of last year’s Colorado roster were there.

Now as Sanders puts it, the Buffaloes will be better. It’s a new era, especially with the return to the Big 12 in 2024.
